PRESENT POSITION
Gregg Dight joined Marshall & Stevens in January 2001 as a director in the Leasing and Structured Finance Group. He was promoted to vice president in April 2006. His current responsibilities include discipline leadership of the combined Capital Asset Valuation and Structured Finance Groups.
PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATIONS
Mr. Dight is an accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) with The American Society of Appraisers with a designation in Machinery & Technical Specialties (MTS) - Machinery & Equipment. He currently serves as Vice President of the New York Chapter for the ASA. Mr. Dight is also a member of the Equipment Leasing Association.
EXPERIENCE
Mr. Dight has been involved in the equipment leasing and finance industry for the last 22 years, primarily in the asset management and valuation areas. He has extensive experience in appraisal & recovery/resale of equipment in several industries including rail, marine, over the road transportation, construction, intermodal chassis and containers, material handling, among many others.
EMPLOYMENT
Prior to joining Marshall & Stevens, Mr. Dight worked for Phoenixcor, Inc., as an equipment manager for five years, and 10 years at GE Capital Corporation in a number of positions including asset manager, portfolio manager and collections manager.
EDUCATION
Mr. Dight holds a B.S. degree in Finance from the University of Connecticut (Storrs). He has attended and facilitated asset management, appraisal and leasing seminars, in addition to consulting and writing on related topics.
TESTIMONY
Mr. Dight has worked closely with several law firms in the United States and Great Britain over the past several years concerning deposition, trial testimony and general consulting projects.
