PRESENT POSITION
Doug Pugliese is an Executive Managing Director at Marshall & Stevens, managing the Firm's Northeast operations. In addition to overseeing the Firm’s regional Financial, Real Estate, and Capital Asset Valuation practices, Mr. Pugliese is leading new business development efforts in the region. Further, he is also helping to guide the Firm’s expansion into investment banking services, such as providing strategic M&A and capital-raising advisory services to clients of the Firm.
EMPLOYMENT
Prior to joining Marshall & Stevens in 2008, Mr. Pugliese was a managing director at Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc., where he worked for almost 12 years as an investment banker providing M&A, debt and equity capital raising advice to a wide range of trade and financial sponsor clients in the Chemicals and broader industrials sectors. During his career with Bear Stearns, Mr. Pugliese was based in New York City, as well as in the Firm’s London offices for more than 5 years. Prior to joining Bear Stearns, Mr. Pugliese served as an officer and pilot in the United States Navy for 6 years. While in the Navy he held a range of responsibilities, having flown helicopters in South America and Western Africa as well as having served as an admiral’s aide and translator in the region. Mr. Pugliese holds a FAA commercial pilots license for both helicopters and fixed wing aircraft.
EDUCATION
Mr. Pugliese received his bachelor’s degree in Economics and Spanish Literature (with honors) from the University of Pennsylvania and attended New York University’s Stern School of Business, where he was a Dean’s Scholar and a Stern Scholar, receiving his MBA in 1996.
